Social Media & Editorial Content Manager

Clue is looking for an excellent individual to help us grow our digital presence as a publisher of accessible, scientific, and empathetic information about menstrual and reproductive health. You can read more about our publishing efforts here and here.

This role is at the intersection of editorial (at Clue, the Publishing team) and growth (at Clue, the Audience team). You’ll help bring Clue's content to millions of people, and work with a passionate, creative team that cares deeply. Our mission is at the center of everything we do. What we publish is driven by the unique value we think we can provide, not by top-down “growth hacking” goals.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Manage and own the calendar and day-to-day production of Clue content on helloclue.com and Clue’s social media channels
  • Act as primary copywriter and producer for social media and other emerging channels
  • Set and enforce deadlines and processes, working with an in-house team of writers, designers, and video producers
  • Juggle many stakeholders, campaigns, and initiatives that interact with social, from app growth to SEO to customer support to brand campaigns
  • With the Audience team lead, develop and execute an audience development strategy to foster engagement and growth of our audience
  • With the Publishing team lead, develop, refine, and translate Clue’s brand and unique voice to social media, newsletters, SEO, the helloclue.com homepage, and other emerging platforms
  • Test and constantly update a set of best practices for engaging audiences on each channel
  • Monitor trends in audience, growth, performance
  • Monitor user feedback

Desired skills and qualifications

  • You have proven editorial judgment and a journalistic sense of ethics. You know what to do to get clicks, but you won’t always necessarily do it.
  • You are comfortable with setting and enforcing deadlines, and have a sense of when and how to be flexible.
  • You are detail-oriented and strategic.
  • You are a writer.
  • You can comfortably analyze data, while also being fun and innovative enough to put together an Instagram Story that’s in line with the brand.
  • You have a proven track record of success finding new audiences.
  • You have excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
  • You have 2 -3 years’ experience at an editorial (news/magazine) operation and/or in producing/writing editorially-rigorous branded content.
